At that price with < 200 000 km? NP NP NP.
You're fueling my Disco Fever. Thank God I no longer live in Alberta or I'd suddenly be in a LOT of trouble with the wife!

I know, for 3500 bucks you can't go wrong with almost any Rover

Even if it's an S trim level and a five-seater, it's still a good price. Negotiate it down a bit, probably no lower than 3200, and you're rolling.
If it's a 7-seater and/or it has the locking centre diff, it's a seriously good buy.

Let's be honest. Nearly all used Land Rovers are CP.

If only I hadn't just spent 2400 bucks on my truck to keep it alive. Will have to get more info on it. My lady needs a better winter rig than her Mazda 2.

Why is that?

I think - I think - there might be reliability issues.

Maintenance. "If it's not leaking, it's because it's dry."
If you don't get a stack of detailed maintenance records with your used Land Rover, you have NO idea what kind of misery you're getting into. With the maintenance records, you're not free of misery, it's just that you'll know exactly what kind of misery you're getting into.

USED Land Rover, keyword "used"... CP

That is basically true for all vehicles though. Why should the Land Rover be singled out.

I paid 4600 US bucks for an 02 with 198k miles on it...one of the best cars I've ever owned. Although the A/C was tempermental, everything else just worked, all the time.

I am so tempted to go to Canada and get it.
And bring it home. NP NP NP.
